Petersfield Town Juniors FC is donating £659 from our weekly match subs to help people suffering as a result of the war in Ukraine. That is one pound for every player in the club. Our teams play in blue and yellow, the colours of the Ukrainian national flag, and we have all been shocked by the terrible war in Ukraine, but also impressed by the remarkable bravery and spirit of the Ukrainian people.
The donation will be split between the Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine Appeal (https://www.dec.org.uk/appeal/ukraine-humanitarian-appeal) and local charity, Chernobyl Children’s Lifeline (https://www.ccll.org.uk/), who work primarily in the northern regions of Ukraine that are being so badly hit in the conflict.
